PJ Library In Vermont November News

PJ Library In Vermont Local News

Hello PJ Library In Vermont community!

November is the month for food and friends 🍲

Join me at Northern Nosh, Vermont’s annual Jewish food and culture festival in Burlington on Sunday, November 9th! I’ll be hosting an interactive book reading at 12:30 pm. There will be all kinds of Jewish foods to experience and more activities for children throughout this joyous event! I’m looking forward to seeing you and your kids there!

Now is also a great time to start your planning for a Hanukkah Get Together or maybe a Thanksgiving Shabbat with friends!  PJ Library's Get Together microgrant program helps you host your friends for low-prep, Jewish-themed gatherings – and they cover $100 in hosting expenses! Pretty sweet, right? However you do Jewish, you can count on PJ Library to help you enjoy Shabbat and holiday hangouts. Plus, there are loads of ideas on the PJ Library website to help you plan.  https://pjlibrary.org/gettogether

Got questions? New to the community or looking to make connections with other families? I can help!

Happy reading,

Alison Hill

Reminder: Older PJ Library readers have until the 10th of each month to log in and choose their next PJ Our Way book.

Welcoming a new baby can bring joy, exhaustion, and lots of questions. Labor/delivery nurse and PJ Library mom Miriam Ezagui shares expert tips to ease the transition, find strength in Jewish tradition, and support the whole family.

Give your family (and others) some fun storytime challenges with PJ Library’s printable Reading Bingo card. Read together, mark your accomplishments, and see who can fill a row first.

If you recently hosted some of your friends for a Get Together (whether the theme was Shabbat, a holiday, or anything else Jewish), make sure to submit a report so we can send a $100 microgrant to cover your expenses. Also, remember you can do it again, hosting up to three times during the fall/winter 2025 Get Together season!
