Beth Liberman, Executive Director
Beth Liberman has been dedicated to strengthening Jewish life in Vermont since returning to the Green Mountains in 2016. As Executive Director of JCVT, she works to deepen connection among Jewish communities across the state, expand opportunities for meaningful engagement, and build partnerships that sustain vibrant Jewish life throughout Vermont. Her previous leadership as Director of Education at Beth Jacob Synagogue and the Jewish Community of Greater Stowe (JCOGS) laid the foundation for her longstanding collaboration with JCVT and PJ Library.
Beth holds a B.A. in Psychology and Studio Art from the University of Vermont and an M.S.Ed. in Museum Education from Bank Street College of Education. Her family spent significant years living in Israel, where she became fluent in Hebrew, participated in cross-border peace initiatives, and developed a deep appreciation for Israeli arts and culture. These experiences continue to shape her vision of Jewish learning, connection, and community-building.
Beth delights in living Jewishly in Vermont, where tradition is enriched by the spirituality of nature, the rhythms of the seasons, and the strength of close-knit community. She is committed to connecting with Jewish Vermonters across the state—the “Jews in the Woods”—and to discovering creative, meaningful ways to celebrate, connect, and sustain Jewish life together.
When she’s not working, Beth can be found tending her garden in Hyde Park, snowshoeing through the woods, blowing the shofar at the edge of a brook, or exploring art exhibitions and discovering hidden gem museums and galleries around Vermont.
Molly Ritvo, Grants and Engagement Manager
Molly Ritvo is a writer, fundraiser, and Jewish communal professional based in Vermont. She brings nearly two decades of experience in nonprofit communications, development, grant writing, and storytelling, with a particular focus on strengthening Jewish organizations and communities.
Molly has helped Jewish and mission-driven nonprofits raise funds, tell their stories, and connect more meaningfully with donors, members, and community partners. Her work has included grant writing, donor communications, legacy giving, campaign messaging, annual appeals, and program development for organizations in Vermont, nationally, and in Israel.
In addition to her fundraising and communications work, Molly is a published writer whose essays and creative nonfiction have appeared in the Jewish Book Council, Times of Israel, At The Well, PJ Library, the Jewish Writing Project, and other publications. Her writing often explores Jewish identity, community, motherhood, belonging, antisemitism, and the emotional texture of Jewish communal life.
Molly holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Emerson College and a BA from Tufts University. She is grateful to support Jewish life in Vermont and beyond through work rooted in story, connection, generosity, and care. Molly is always looking for a new story, a strong cup of coffee, and a joyful Jewish gathering. Molly also runs a blog on Times of Israel! Click here to read her work. Rebecca “Binky” Goldberg, Burlington Area PJ Library Parent Connector
Rebecca “Binky” Goldberg is a longtime children’s librarian and beloved member of Burlington’s Jewish community. She served as Youth Services Librarian at the Fletcher Free Library for 40 years, retiring in 2022. Throughout her career, Binky helped generations of children and families discover the joy of reading, learning, and connecting through books. She developed creative youth programs, supported summer literacy and community outreach initiatives, and helped parents and educators use children’s literature to begin meaningful conversations about identity, difference, and the world around them. Her decades of service reflect a deep commitment to children, families, literacy, Jewish community, and connection.
