Beth Liberman, Executive Director
Beth Liberman has been dedicated to strengthening Jewish life in the Green Mountains since moving back to the state in 2016. In her work as Director of Education at both Beth Jacob Synagogue and the Jewish Community of Greater Stowe (JCOGS), Beth collaborated with JCVT and PJ Library to build community through partnerships and multi-community holiday celebrations which she believes are the heart of a vibrant Jewish life.
She earned her B.A. in Psychology and Studio Art from the University of Vermont and an M.S.Ed. in Museum Education from Bank Street College. Her family spent significant years living in Israel, where she became fluent in Hebrew, engaged in cross-border peace initiatives, and developed a deep appreciation for Israeli arts and culture. These experiences continue to shape her vision of Jewish learning and connection.
Beth delights in living Jewishly in Vermont, where traditions are enriched by the spirituality of nature, the rhythms of the year, and a strong sense of community. She is excited to get on the road to meet Jewish folks across the state—the "Jews in the Woods"—and to find creative, inspiring ways to celebrate, connect, and sustain Jewish life together.
When she's not at work, you can find her in her garden in Hyde Park, snowshoeing in the woods, blowing the shofar at the edge of the brook, or exploring an art exhibition in one of Vermont's well-known or off-beat venues.
ChanDar Hall, Social Media Coordinator
Chandar (Dar) has been working for JCVT for over 10 years. After 25 years in Vermont she made the move to the Merrimack Valley of Massachusetts. When not doing media & marketing for JCVT she is a cat mom & has an amigurumi crochet business.
Chandar loves building the content you want to see and looks forward to hearing from you!
Alison Hill, Havurah Initiative and PJ Library Coordinator
Alison has a B.A. in Psychology and an M.S. in Physical Therapy. She has been a long-time teacher at the Hebrew School at the Israel Congregation of Manchester, where she is a member. She and her family have had several extended trips to Israel where she worked for the Arava Institute for Environmental Studies. She serves as a Justice of the Peace for the town of Manchester.
