Tikkun Olam Starts at the Table
Today feels scary — and not for the reason you may think.
As we close out October, many individuals and families in our community are facing real fears. SNAP benefits are ending, putting families at risk of hunger. Healthcare access is shifting, leaving many uncertain about the future. In moments like these, we are reminded how much we need one another. Jewish life calls us to care — to show up, to listen, and to lift each other up.
Tikkun olam starts at the table. As we navigate rising prices and strained resources, now is the time to live our Jewish values. When we lift each other up, we strengthen the fabric of our community. If you can help a neighbor, this is a moment — to share abundance, to practice compassion, and put our values into action.
Together, we can face what’s frightening — and help ensure that every table is filled with food, dignity, and hope.
