oin us on Shavuot as we hike to the Mountain Chapel on Mt. Mansfield to celebrate this holiday of first fruits and receiving the Torah!

We’ll gather at the Stowe Mountain Resort, then make our way up the mountain, finding the first fruits of Vermont (spring wildflowers like trout lilies and trilium) and enjoying community, contemplation, and the beauty of nature. At the Mountain Chapel, we’ll share in a bikkurim (first fruits) parade and songs in the chapel with Rabbi David and JCOGS educators. Seeking musicians to help support the parade with joy.

Sisterhood shavuot shabbat

CELEBRATE SHAVU’OT WITH A SPECIAL SISTERHOOD SHABBAT EXPLORING THE CHARACTER OF THE BIBLICAL DEBORAH.

Deborah is one of the great women leaders of the Bible.  A judge, a warrior, and a poet, Deborah is a fascinating character and one that we often overlook.  On this Shavuot, let’s honor her.

The service will be led by many of the women in our congregation. The service will be followed by an oneg also provided by our Sisterhood members. You don't need to be in Sisterhood to attend either in person or on Zoom.

TIKKUN Leil SHavUOT

9:00 PM - 11:55 PM

Shavuot. All Jews, past and present, gather at Sinai to receive the powerful wisdom of the Torah. The centuries-old conversation begins. We at Beth Jacob will gather on zoom and in person to add our voices to that conversation in a Tikkun, a study of Torah in the broadest sense, meaning anything Jewish. While this study group will go late into the night, people are free to come and go as they please.

Registration coming soon!
