Holocaust History & Its Connections in Vermont
Vermont Holocaust Memorial (VTHM) vice president and daughter of Holocaust survivors, Miriam Rosenbloom, will share the background and efforts of the nonprofit organization, including VTHM’s goals, mission, and vision. Tom Glaser, a son of Holocaust survivors and a VTHM speaker bureau member from Shelburne, will be sharing a PowerPoint presentation of his family’s harrowing story of survival through the Holocaust. By imparting the lessons to be learned from these legacies Tom and Miriam hope that current and future generations of Vermonters will become respectful of all.

Whispers from the past (middlebury havurah)
“Whispers from the Past” is a concert that interweaves music composed during the Holocaust with ancestral Jewish melodies- a program that transcends a time of sorrow with the human desire for hope. Performing is Temple Trio, a string trio consisting of violin, viola and cello.
Besides music of composers who perished in the camps such as Viktor Ullmann, Gideon Klein and Hans Krasa, there will be music of two composers who lived through the Holocaust, as well as some Yiddish songs.
Temple Trio are players of the Vermont Symphony Orchestra (Laura Markowitz, violin; Ana Ruesink, viola; and John Dunlop, cello). Berta Frank will host the event.
